The group went through a number of changes until Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined in 1974, at which point the band skyrocketed to the top of the charts.

Many of their songs, such as “Don’t Stop,” “Over My Head,” “You Make Loving Fun,” and “Say You Love Me,” were written or performed by McVie.

In 1987, Buckingham made the decision to quit the band and pursue a solo career. Nicks followed in 1990 by also pursuing a solo career.

At addition, McVie embarked on a solo career and in the beginning of this year published a collection of her solo work named “Songbird: A Solo Collection.”

However, in spite of the band members’ difficulties with one another, their musical synergy was unmistakable, and they did ultimately get back together.
